Stan Pitts

Stan Pitts
Stan Pitts serves as President of HydroExcavators, LLC and HydroExcavators II, LLC. With 38 years of experience in the utility and energy industries, Stan is a proven leader focused on operations, financial performance, and strong customer relationships. Most recently, Stan served as Vice President, Transmission for Southeast Connections, a leading natural gas pipeline contractor. There, he managed responsibilities including business development, customer experience, and the P&L reporting of the Transmission Division. Before joining Southeast Connections in 2018, Stan held various roles at major utility companies and natural gas pipeline contractors. He attended Mercer University and Southern Polytechnic University.
Jamie Everhart

Jamie Everhart
Jamie currently serves as the Vice President of Human Resources of Hydro-X. Jamie has over 20 years of Human Resources experience with concentrations in benefits administration, compliance, safety and employee relations. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration while being SPHR certified. Prior to joining the company, Jamie served as VP of Operations for a leading clothing manufacturer.

Kevin Gilbert
Kevin Gilbert serves Hydro-X as Director of Operations. He has more than 30 years of Operations and Management experience in the United States and internationally. During that time, he has led many business transformations and implementations in a wide range of industries, including natural gas pipelines and distribution systems. He is well versed in helping organizations succeed with growth-orientated initiatives.
In his role today, Kevin oversees all Hydro-X operations, providing leadership support to the teams while ensuring operational efficiencies. He focuses on the continuous improvement of business operations, customer service, and positioning Hydro-X to achieve its strategic objectives, including the development of our people with a focus on safety and service excellence.
John Strother

John Strother
John Strother has 30 years of experience in heavy civil construction, including environmental remediation and construction. He has been involved in every aspect of residential development, providing a unique perspective on how hydro excavation can be instrumental for development planning and civil design, particularly as it relates to utility installation or relocation. In his role with Hydro-X, he identifies potential clients, builds relationships, and provides price quotes for project specific budgets. He is also responsible for identifying growth opportunities in key geographic locations that are experiencing major growth in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Jed Mercardante

Jed Mercardante
Jed Mercardante supports the IT infrastructure needs for the South Gas Division of Artera, including Hydro-X. Jed joined Southeast Connections in 2014 where he quickly became an integral part of the IT team. In 2020, Jed transitioned to support the growing IT needs of Hydro-X. With a deep understanding of the South Gas Division businesses, Jed brings more than 20 years of comprehensive IT experience to his role including oversight of hardware, software, and networking. He is a proven leader in this space who has evolved with our business and developed technology solutions and support, while delivering excellent end user experience.
Val de Souza

Val de Souza
Val de Souza is Director of Finance. In this role, Val collaborates with the leadership team, developing strategies to improve business performance and generates relevant analytics to drive value creation. With over 20 years working for global construction materials companies, Val has extensive experience in supporting operations like those of Hydro-X. Originally from Maryland, she holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Keith Plemons
Keith Plemons leads the Health, Environmental, Safety and Quality function for Hydro-X. He has more than 30 years of experience in the gas and underground construction industry. Before joining Hydro-X, Keith led HSE for Southeast Connections for 15 years. He currently holds the NCCER Certification in Construction Safety. He has also received industry recognition and awards from 811 and Georgia Public Service Commission for Damage Prevention Underground Utilities.
